Protests and clashes in Hungary

Submitted by Reddebrek on May 18, 2023

Orban's education reforms are facing strong opposition, with riot police trying to break up student and striking teacher demonstrations. Much of the news has been limited due to the coincidence that all major media outlets in the country are owned by Orban's friends and supporters of the ruling party.

There are big clashes expected tomorrow (May 19th) and there's an attempt to get around the black out with a big push online. Mainly using the hastags #fuckorban and #freehungary.

Here's some more information.
