Especially in the political context of the United States of America and associated imperialism, society often expects unemployability the moment someone publicly declares themself a communist. However, is it possible to improve the odds of employability for such people without crossing any capitalist lines?
"Fun" answer: Learn to dance…
"Fun" answer:
Learn to dance, get dressed, get blessed, try to be a suckcess and give the anarchist a cigarette (Chumbawamba reference almost rhymes...—I didn't want to just quote a Bob Dylan song without alluding to how shite his non-political stance was/is)
Serious answer:
Well I mean you sort of have to compromise to survive under capitalism. There aren't too many options out there that will allow you to just go around announcing that you're a communist. Do also the normal stuff like avoiding work that is directly harmful to society or against workers' interests, etc. I would also emphasize connecting with other like-minded people and not withdrawing into theory/books or whatever; the revolution is a social affair after all.
Publicly declaring yourself…
Publicly declaring yourself a communist seems a bit performative to me and best left to aspiring left-influencers.
