London group of The Anarchist Federation meets on Tfirst and third Thursday evenings at Freedom Bookshop in East London. Meetings start at 7pm. I think I am an anarchist, not sure...I have been labelled an anarcho-syndicalist and natural marxist by SWP friends...dont know what that means (-I think!). I certainly detest the state; believe that
property is theft (who, in their right mind can disagree?)
collaborative rather than commodified labour best serves community needs
Communalism provides economies of scale, scope and mental well being
The concepts of hegemony, manufacturing consent etc. are important for retaining sanity.
I wish I could talk with people about these things, which my friends seem to agree with but be amused by. I would love to meet anybody near the bromley/west wickham area on a Friday night/Sat morn/aft (I am a single dad, so not many other opportunities).
