Jackdaw issue 3 is out - free bulletin of the Anarchist Communist Group

Jackdaw number 3 is hot off the press. Jackdaw is the ACG’s free bulletin. This issues contains the following articles:

It’s available in a a number of shops, social centres and gets handed out on demos and street distributions.

It's great that you guys are

It's great that you guys are putting out a free, regular newsletter. However in terms of this particular issue I'm afraid I found the first sentence a bit offputting:

Illness is treated individually,
but ill health is
mostly caused by economic
and social conditions we
experience collectively

That seems like an extremely bold statement, do you have evidence that that is true, in a UK setting, i.e. that the majority of ill-health in the UK is caused by that? Not being aware of any specific evidence, it seems to me that's pretty unlikely

Why Jackdaw? Looking for a name that was not the usual, we settled upon Jackdaw because of the characteristics often associated with this bird, characteristics which are an important part of a revolutionary anarchist movement for a new society: resilience and a fighting spirit, as well as being social and co-operative. ‘Jack’ means ‘rogue’ and ‘daw’ means ‘call.’ We are rogues in the current society and our paper aims to call for a working class revolution and the creation of an anarchist communist society.

This stirs the spirit and ignites the heart; but it still doesn't hold a candle to:
