I was wondering if there are new books worth reading that can serve as introductions to socialism and anarchism. Recently, there has been The Government of No One: The Theory and Practice of Anarchism by Ruth Kinna. But it is too academic for my taste.
Anarchism and Its Aspirations
Anarchism and Its Aspirations by Milstein? Anarchy Works by Gelderloos?

The Gelderloos book looks interesting. Would be good to compare and contrast the different anarchist/marxist ideas about how to 'advance a libertarian communist revolution globally and protect it's partial geographical establishment in its early stages from external attack and internal subversion/decline' perhaps concentrating on the modern global capitalist world rather than the past experiences of Russia 1917 or Spain 1936.
