Capitalist state elections are never good news for anarchists and communists and the recent irish one doesn't seem to have bucked the trend towards increased expressions of ultra-conservative and racist views amongst a growing minority of voters despite, for instance, the generally assumed positive referendum result on the outdated and little used blasphemy laws. Not sure this video analysis by some Irish anarchists of the detail in the results tells us much more than we already know but some may find it of interest here:
