Alan Milchman, better known in ultraleft circles as Mac Intosh of Internationalist Perspective, passed away https://thecharnelhouse.org/2021/08/30/alan-milchman-1940-2021/ Sad news, condolences to his friends and family. I always got a lot out of his writings. Indeed very sorry to hear that and a serious loss to 'Internationalist Perspective' and the efforts of another of our very small internationalist communist groups. As here for follow-up later: https://internationalistperspective.org Condolences to all who knew him, a sad loss A longer political obit from his comrades at IP here: https://internationalistperspective.org/mac-intosh-4/ Well Alan may sadly have departed this life but the IP has started to come back to life in it's commendable self-reflective spirit with this short text: https://internationalistperspective.org/hide-and-bide/ which recognises some of the past (mistaken) influences on it's reconsideration of left communist 'decadence theory' in relation to their understanding of modern day global capitalism and particularly their assessment of China. Probably fair to say that the CWO and to a lesser extent the ICC (and some ex-ICC) have also tried with varying success to move on with their understanding of state capitalism in the modern day but the IP text adds some useful additional points for starters.
