Bordiga in German translation

Submitted by spacious on January 26, 2017

"In its most mature meaning, determinism has nothing to do with passivity, but clarifies the fact that man tends to act, before he wanted to act, and that he wants, before he knows why he wants, because his head is the last and unsurest of his limbs. The best use that a group of men can make of their heads, is to perceive in advance the historical moment, in which they - other than remain passive - for the first time will be hurled into the maelstrom of battle and struggle with their head first."

Should it interest some of you, there's a load of German translations of Amadeo Bordiga's works to be found here:

hi Craftwork, sorry, didn't see your reply until now.

Yes, this collection at least includes a bunch that is not on MIA, and the translations are recent. For example, there is a full translation of Mai la merce sfamera l'uomo, from 1953-55, about the agrarian question and ground rent in Marxist theory, 'Factors of race and nation in Marxist theory', and Bordiga's reading of Marx's 1844 manuscripts.

Nice. Personally, I'd like to see Bordiga's work on Marx's 1844 manuscripts made available in English (https://defensedumarxisme.files.wordpress.com/2014/11/bordiga_commentairesmanuscrits1844.pdf).

FYI, an English translation of that text has just recently been posted here:
