The squat was attacked by fascists earlier today, some broken windows. Probably because of the 'Antifascist Action' flag they hung on the outside.

Any info about these fascists? How do they know that the windows were broken by fascists?

Because a bunch of people were there while it happened.

Fascist-themed facemasks apparently, though it also sounds like the sort of thing a bunch of people employed to violently evict a place might do to make people think it's a political beef. Nowt on the pages of the usual suspects either.

No idea. Although it doesn't seem to make much sense that people hired to retake a property would smash the windows of that property.

This was definitely a fascist attack. The attackers identified themselves as the "Pie & Mash Squad" and people involved in that crew have indicated they were out on the day.

The Pie & Mash Squad are essentially a spin-off from the EDL, formerly known as Casual United and founded by a Cardiff City football hooligan called Joe Butler (aka Jeff Marsh).

They have been trying to shut down the Clapton Ultras for a number of years and it's believed they had originally been planning on targeting Clapton on Saturday.

Apparently the chief executive of Clapton FC was contacted by the police last week and told to expect a fascist visit at the game on Saturday. It looks like they changed target at the last minute.

Well, there we are. As I say, it's probably because of that AFA flag hanging from the squat.
