I had been seeing this news going around for a few days, but there's now a proper obituary for him: https://www.weareplanc.org/blog/in-memory-of-josh-2/
I don't think I ever really spoke to him in person, but we'd interacted online a bit, and as it happens I'd only just recently got around to listening to an interview with him about tenants organising. Whatever differences people might have had with him, everything I've seen about him makes him sound like a good bloke and a very sincere communist with a deep commitment to organising for working-class power, and 23 is a shockingly young age to go.

Met him only a couple of times and, like you say, whatever political differences people (including me) might have had with him, he was definitely committed. Very sad.

Apparently this article was one of his: https://www.weareplanc.org/blog/between-a-job-and-a-hard-place-a-non-workers-enquiry/
