I found both books an excellent and expansive take on our movement in the Revolution.Especially the many anecdotes and brief summaries of important Anarchists and Libertarians during the war.Also the subterfuge and coup by Mera and some leading Republicans against the Stalinists was new to me at the time in 1999.
