This book is a comparative history of case studies from the cooperative movement around the world.
Though an academic text, socialists can use it to help them build up a solidarity economy -- or to help formulate critiques of the limitations of the coop model. It is full of concrete examples, rather than theory, of worker-controlled firms and their activities.
