AGAINST THE CAPITALIST WAR!

In every war the proletariat is the loser and the ruling class, the bourgeoisie, the winner. It’s a winner because it can enforce its interests through armed violence – where peaceful competition and its process of exploitation, accumulation, creation of value, and surplus value… no longer work. No matter which warring party wins or loses, no matter under what name or reason the war is supposedly waged (“war against fascism”, “progressive war”, “war against colonialism”, “war for national liberation”, “wars of aggression and/or defense”, “wars for living space”, “wars for survival” – of the nation, the race, etc.) because in the end the existence of capital is winning – and perpetuating itself – even if this means destroying the commodities (devastated cities, destroyed means of production, etc.) and finally the most important agent for the creation of value is massacred by the millions for the interests of capital, namely the majority of humanity, the proletariat, those who have and own nothing except their labor power.

Capitalism has never been an economic system that could function either without crises or without its own expansion and progress, as it can only exist worldwide and must enforce its interests. Imperialism is not an exclusive characteristic of large and powerful Nation-states (especially militarily), but of all countries. This exacerbates all the more wars, which can reach the entire world and threaten to destroy the life of all species.

No matter how wars are justified, defended or trivialized, they all only serve the interests of ruling classes – which are in conflict with other ruling classes. No war, past or present, has ever been started in the interests of the proletariat, even if they are and have sometimes been waged in its name. National defense and national liberation mean fighting and dying for the interests of one faction of the capitalist class against another. It means killing (and being killed by) other working-class people for the power and profit of the class that exploits and oppresses us.

But what are the interests of the ruling classes – we talk about them in the plural, even if they are objectively only one, but this one consists of different factions that are in conflict with each other, as it is the case in the war in Ukraine, Yemen, Gaza or elsewhere – ruling classes that are constantly waging wars worldwide?

We resolutely attack all ideologies of the ruling classes, whether nationalism, democracy, fascism, State socialism, religions, etc., because they are only alternatives within capitalism and because they thereby bind the majority of humanity to Nation-states, which are the local managers and protectors of capitalist interests and with which the masses are mobilized for war.

The alternative to capitalist war is not capitalist peace, but to destroy everything that causes it.

AGAINST CAPITALIST PEACE!

During the so-called capitalist peace – what a terrible euphemism – it’s always war that prevails. Capitalism can be neither peaceful, nor equitable or environmentally friendly. Through its constant self-preservation, capitalism must forever create more and more surplus value.

This causes poverty worldwide, pauperization of life, destruction of the environment, alienation, growing psychological and physical stress, all of which leads to retreat, despair and, in the end, when this misery can no longer be managed by the States, to further conflicts and wars. All the tens of thousands of proletarians crossing the Mediterranean, fleeing conflict, hunger, poverty, repression and violence, murdered there by the constraints of capitalism… isn’t it war? Aren’t the same conditions valid here? Isn’t the social peace, capitalist peace, the time in which crises and wars are created? Since this is the case, capitalism, the State, the nation must be destroyed.

Hence, we are neither for pacifism nor for the social peace, which is what all those on the left and right of capitalism actually want. Therefore, we do not call for peace, or for negotiations, neither for UN interventions, nor for a ban on arms sales to warring parties. Nor do we urge the ruling class to act “reasonably”, because we know that it cannot do so.

Internationally, the working class is the only social force capable to terminate capitalism and creating a human community based on the satisfaction of needs rather than the compulsion to maximize profit.

But there is still a long way to go. Its struggle [our struggle] cannot only be economic; it must also be political and confront the State. It must refuse to submit to the capitalist war drive. We support proletarians on both sides of every war who refuse to fight, who desert, and who turn their weapons against those who order them to kill each other. We support the sabotage of the war machine and the resistance to conscription, mobilization and the militarization of society.

Now that more and more countries in the EU intend to make it more difficult for Russian and Ukrainian deserters to stay so that they can be sent to the front as further cannon fodder, it is all the more important to support deserters. Every person who flees from the front negates the interests of the ruling class and affirms the interests of the proletariat, which can only be in conflict with each other. We are being asked to put our lives at risk for the interests of capital, but this should never be the case, because if we ever survive a war, mentally and physically shredded, our reality will still be characterized by exploitation, poverty and despair.

FOR THE SOCIAL REVOLUTION, THE SOCIAL WAR, AGAINST ALL PARTIES, ALL TRADE UNIONS, ALL VANGUARDS, FOR THE AUTONOMY OF THE PROLETARIAT! AGAINST ALL STATES AND NATIONS!

FOR ANARCHY!
