A letter of the KAPD from the Police Archives that is a secretive directive from Margot, urging frequent reporting, caution with sensitive materials, and the use of trusted informants for espionage. The letter can be found in "Organisation der leinksradikalen Bewegung im Reich, Büro Kölpin, No. 93" in the "State Archives of North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland Department".
Some more general remarks:
You must write often. If you don’t have much that’s new, report sparingly. And if you have nothing new at all, you still need to write. Reporting is simply part of a disciplined organization. We need to know about each other. And the more we know about one another, the stronger the organization becomes. If the postage costs become too much for any of you, you can claim it back from me.
We can address individual uncertainties regarding the many questions at a conference, which will take place on the third Sunday in July.
I want to point out once again that names, FSE, and unnecessary addresses must absolutely be omitted.
Handle the things I send you with the utmost care. You could not only put yourselves in danger but the entire operation as well. That must not happen under any circumstances.
If you have trusted people in the troop units, they should primarily be used for espionage, not for distributing literature. Only when there are several of them should some do this and others do that. Those who inform you about the events within the troop itself must, of course, not let anything slip about their true convictions.
With greetings, Margot
