A few hours ago, a bomb has stroke a house in a small Turkish village in Urfa near the Syrian border killing 5 people including at least two children and their mother. An angry crowd marched to the government buildings in the town and many violent clashes occurred between the people and the police. The Turkish state was openly supporting the so called "insurgents" which were mostly Islamist militia and locals were angry about this, feeling that this was an imperialistic intervention towards a friendly people. Especially in majority Alavite (a non-Sunni non-orthodox Muslim sect which is also Baas' and Esad's religious sect) towns (such as Antakya) there were mass demonstrations against Turkish military support for the insurgency.
On the other hand, the government seems to be planning to intervene militarily using this last incident as an excuse. One of the government ministers already told that, "this was the last drop and we will react accordingly." In some Turkish tv channels it is said that Turkey has bombed Idlib in Syria. I will try to update this as soon as I learn more.

yes looks like turkey has struck back. msm reports saying they did so after telling UN/NATO they would. Hilary Clinton denounced the syrian strike.
looks like shit is gonna escalate.
Turkey is playing a
Turkey is playing a Machiavellian game. The Turkish government was obviously provoking Syria by opening its borders with Syria (many journalists are telling that) and hence letting the Islamists to fight. Many Islamist fighters are fighting in Syria during the day and returning to Turkey to the camps allotted to them by the government. So this incident was not surprising at all. In fact this is not the last time a bomb has fell on a Turkish village or town close to the border... However government did not care at all and there were a lot of demonstrations in the border regions against the Turkish governments policies.
Turkey also does not like
Turkey also does not like that some border areas in Syria have been taken over by Kurdish forces

That is spot on. Turkish government expressed overtly its concern for the northeastern region of the Syria which is mostly under the control of PKK's Syria wing right now. My impression is, it is possible to expect a Turkish military operation to northeast Syria against the PKK basis and towns.
Also as of today, the Turkish parliament ratified a bill giving the government legal excuse for an intervention in Syria.
