Louise Michel, BBC programme.

It's pretty good, well worth a listen. Personally I learned a lot - not only in terms of Michel, but the commune itself.

This was really good. I wish I could learn more history in this way - low effort, high reward.
I like this program anyway and having heard it a number of times by chance I've got to say Matthew Paris is a great broadcaster.

Thanks for sharing; that was very informative. I went ahead and downloaded the one on Wittgenstein, which was good, and the one on Orwell, which was very shitty. They only mentioned his time in the Spanish civil war at the very end and only in a dismissive sentence.

For those interested, a very good book on the life of Luise Michel is “La Vie Ardente et Intrepide de Louise Michel” written by Fernand Planche.

In 1954 Ediciones del Movimiento Libertario en Mexico published it with the title “La Virgen Roja-Luisa Michel” translated from French into Spanish by Isabel Del Castillo, with further corrections by Liberto Callejas and B. Cano Ruiz.

Whether this book is available in the English language I have no idea.
