There's either an issue with creating different versions of images, or a few images that need pulling over from the old server still. Should have that sorted relatively soon hopefully and will update.
OK I checked a few things. I think it was just a problem creating new versions of images. not with the files transfer.
This means that if you see missing images now, we might have a remaining issue with the files migration - so please let us know if so (with a link to the missing file/image as well as the page it's supposed to appear on).
I'm trying to add a new library entry, a parent book for the East end eye, and it won't let me upload a cover image for it. I get this error message:
An unrecoverable error occurred. This form was missing from the server cache. Try reloading the page and submitting again.
hmm originally I was trying to upload an image which had a file name which was already on libcom, so tried again with a different file renaming it and it worked fine so maybe this was a one-off issue (problem was here: http://libcom.org/library/east-end-eye)
Having a problem this evening attaching a PDF in the library. Hitting the upload button produces the signs that it's being uploaded but then it stops with nothing listed as being attached. I'll try again tomorrow.
Still no joy uploading a PDF to the library. Tried in both Firefox and Chrome. Press the 'Attach' button and the bar indicating activity appears with the 'Please wait...' message. After a while it stops but there's no sign of the upload. The screen goes back to how it was before the attempt at uploading. The PDF itself is functional. Any suggestions ?
Yeah it looks like everybody who was logged in on the old site will have to clear their cache's before they can log back in. Sorry about this!
Well, there's always an idiot in the room..... what's a cache? I can log on from one computer, but another (which has google chrome).
A cache is your internet browser's temporarily stored data, stuff like stored passwords or other often-accessed information and previously loaded web content; if you have a cached version of the old site and your browser is loading that, it might not work correctly. You should probably also clear your cookies, little bits of information that webpages store on your computer to see what you've done previously on the site.
Clearing your cache and cookies depends on your browser, but in Firefox it's in Tools > Options > Privacy, and it's usually something similar for other browsers. You can find individual instructions for your browser with a quick search.
