Recruitment/Human Resources

Hey

This is a pretty general question, maybe a bit broad. I'm just looking for advice and thought Libcom could be the place to ask.

I want to start doing some research on the history and origins of Human Resources Management (HRM). I looked at Progressive Era U.S and the beginnings of HRM as related to the eugenics movement but this, it seems, has been usefully forgotten by HRM professionals and university programmes.

I've done a few preliminary searches but there isn't much critical research done on this topic, the rise of the middlemen - recruitment and human resource professionals. If ever there was a time to write about this, I think it could be now. Does anybody have any knowledge on this, any desire to research and write together, share ideas or just any advice on useful literature to read on the history of this topic?
Cheers
