We are pleased to announce the re-launching of Anarcho-Syndicalism 101.
The site can be found at www.anarchosyndicalism.net
Anarcho-Syndicalism 101 was created in 1997 by Ben Debney, and is now maintained by an editorial collective drawn from members of the global anarcho-syndicalist and revolutionary unionist movement, and open for joining by interested comrades. We see this site as being both unique and complementary to other websites which currently exist.
Anarcho-Syndicalism 101 is a web archive of theoretical and historical texts, articles, image and mp3 files, cultural items and outreach material produced by, and related to, libertarian and autonomous class struggle. Here you will find information on various aspects of anarcho-syndicalist and revolutionary unionist theory and practice, including some texts translated into English for the first time, specifically for this site.
Given that anarcho-syndicalism is a living practice with relevance to the real world, and not a dead dogma, this site features criticism of anarcho-syndicalism over a broad ideological spectrum.
The site will be both interactive and also serve as library for ideas both past and present.
The site features a Syndicalist Directory, as well as a newswire, where visitors to the site can make announcements and calls for solidarity. For further discussion this site features an area where visitors can subscribe to a variety of anarcho-syndicalist email lists, and a web-based forum.
Our Goals:
1. Collect and distribute news and analysis produced by unions, groups and individuals all over the world who are influenced by anarcho-syndicalist and revolutionary unionist ideas and points of view.
2. To provide a meaningful open and non-sectarian forum for the discussion of timely issues, theory and historical events.
3. Provide a point of reference for solidarity appeals and calls for action by anarcho-syndicalists, revolutionary unionists and other libertarian workers. Solidarity appeals by others may also be posted after review by the Editorial Group.
4. To generally promote internationally anarcho-syndicalist and revolutionary unionist ideas and points of view.
5. To further the understanding that our ideas and actions are not simply limited to the workplace. That our problems and struggles are also those as consumers, tenants and users of public services such as mass transit, hospitals, public education amongst others.
Where We Stand:
1. Promote the idea that "The liberation of the working class must be the task of the workers themselves." This idea is inherent in the ideas of all those who are influenced by anarcho-syndicalist and revolutionary unionist principles.
2. To promote and support autonomous workers' struggles.
3. Engage in and encourage the fight against racism, sexism, nationalism and homophobia, and offer meaningful responses to these and other problems created by the current capitalist system, such as militarism and environmental destruction.
4. To encourage and support efforts at building links between our movements throughout the world.
5. Provide a forum for the promotion of ideas that aim towards the building of a new society based on the principles of mutual aid and socialization of the means of production, distribution and social services.

Which flyer-type things?
you know, the images
you know, the images
Well, you can of course
Well, you can of course download any image you like, but I think most of them are in pretty low resolution, so they're probably not very suited for reproduction.
I guess it would be a good idea to make some flyers, etc that people could download. print out and spread in their neighborhood. If any of you have some good outreach material you want to put up on the site, just drop us a line, and we can add it.
Is the site still being
Is the site still being updated? Does the team need/want any help completing the anarcho-syndicalist FAQ?
At the moment the site is
At the moment the site is updated very irregularly, but we hope to get more people involved and start making the site more active againin the near future.
If someone wants to do something with the anarcho-syndicalist FAQ, I'm sure this would be appreciated. As far as I know, the original author of it abandoned the project many years ago.
Good stuff. If Liverpool
Good stuff. If Liverpool solfed can be of any assistance, let us know :rb:
It'd be good to get a Solfed
It'd be good to get a Solfed comrade on board. As Felix wrote, we do updates, etc. irregularly.Mainly cause there's 3 of us doing the posting, etc., etc.

Sorry to report that it seems like Anarcho-Syndicalism 101 has joined the dustbin of history.
Yeah, I just noticed that. I
Yeah, I just noticed that. I had taken a lot of IWA stuff that was only on there and put on libcom, so at least that stuff isn't lost forever, but will have to check internet archive to see if I missed anything.
It would be good if the
It would be good if the domain name could be rescued and pointed towards something useful.
It's actually just a minor
It's actually just a minor technical problem, so neither the content nor the domain name is in danger of being lost. I'll get it back up and running again today.

"Syndicalist Payday Loans"
An anarchist overall costs may well study the particular robbery of our own job with the bosses, your squandering involving sociable sources with the express, as well as the programs in which the actual employers manipulate markets, financing and production to increase his or her income also to pit employees in different parts of the entire world against the other. And also, most importantly, a great anarchist overall costs would likely tackle by itself to the issues associated with keeping economic activity in the ground-breaking situation, and to the monetary preparations which could assist a free of charge culture.

The site you link and quote from has been hacked and taken over. this is not a legit anarcho-syndicalist site.
it could have also been
it could have also been neglected. it looks like they didn't renew their domain and it is now parked by some random actor.

I seek unity with all
I seek unity with all Anarchists of all economic philosophical persuasions. No matter the differences we have philosophically, I think we all agree on the understanding that the state is the enemy.
So it's safe to assume that
So it's safe to assume that 10 years after Felix's announcement the site is kaput?

Having been on the committee, I can say your assumption is correct
Basically we ran out of steam and libcoms rise

Well, if the site is not going to come back, maybe instead of the "under construction" page the URL could redirect here? Also if there were any texts on the site which now on online, if anyone involved still has access to them it would be great if they could post them to the libcom library!
Steve..... I've no issue with
Steve..... I've no issue with that suggestion
Felix and Akai were the others on the last known
Committee. I suspect Felix is the most technologically
engaged of all the committee members
At this point, I guess that
At this point, I guess that we should just hand the domain over to whoever wants to do something useful with it.
For now, I have set the domain to forward to libcom.org/tags/anarchosyndicalism
If you like, I can give you an archive of all the texts from the site in an easy-to-import format. Just send me a PM if you are interested.

Comrade, the original site has long been taken down. Most of the stuff has been rolled into libcom.
But the Anarchosyndicalism 101 was a decent enough repository of information and links for a period of time. Though a specific a/s site should never be taken off the table either. But for now, there is no discussion to relaunch or undue the rollover of stuff here.
As long as we have libcom,
As long as we have libcom, then everything's alright!
