If your part of an anarchist/activist group what do use to be able to communicate with them, when it's not possible to be meeting regularly?

For instant messaging I would suggest www.pidgin.im.
It allows also an encryption plugin.

https://whispersystems.org/ uses good encryption, and is significantly easer to use than gpg/pgp

https://telegram.org/

and

https://www.whatsapp.com/

are other options, although they may not use the most secure type of encryption on all messages

brilliant though wouldn't use it to keep info safe.

i'd say use signal, chatsecure, riseup... everyone has to be on the same platform tho.
