Throwaway thread but I'm genuinely interested.
Ok then, has anyone become friends IRL with another Libcommer that you first connected with on the forums? I recently spent the day in London with one such person and I'm in daily contact by text, phone or Skype with another. In fact, though we haven't met yet I would say that my partner aside, she is the best friend I've ever had. She's coming from Canada to visit me from Canada next month. I've met a few others too which was all good. As an old codger it's a surprising way to make real friends but I can't argue with my experience.
So how about you guys?

I was a bit stranded once in a foreign country due to having missed a boat and messed up all my plans, and I contacted a libcom poster in that city and he put me up for the night on his sofa.

On the other hand, I have a lot of friends on libcom who are definitely not my comrades ;-)
