I believe a special sub-committee of the admin group collate data based on up/down votes and especially good barbs and tally up the scores on a monthly basis. At the end of the year a prize will be awarded to the poster who has scored most points. Exciting rumour - this year's prize will be a commemorative Makhno tea towel.
