The actor looks like the young Marx quite a bit - though he looks a bit tall and wasn't Karl a bit short in real life? Also, he sounded quite dramatic doing that speech but didn't our Karl have one of them reedy high pitched voices and sound like a boring accountant? Looks good mind.
I have always wondered why Marx has never had the filmstar-treatment. Or even Engels.
Marx has the romantic angle with Jenny. Engels, the action-man, with his insurrectionary participation. Both are deserving of full feature films.
Similarly, apart from the odd notable exception, American labour history is amiss the Hollywood version of their dramatic events. They'd rather do a Reds than their own domestic rebellions.
But as Marx said...it is the ruling class ideas that prevail... even into the movie world

yeah what I would really like to see one-day is a detailed multi-season TV show set during the coal wars, that could be amazing
The 1966 soviet film Год как жизнь (on Marx & co. during 1848–49) was apparently based on themes of the novel Raub des Feuers by Galina I. Serebrjakova. Her novel Юность Маркса (Marx's youth) appeared in 1934-35.
She had been married to Serebryakov and then Sokolnikov (and she traveled in Western Europe to collect material for her Marx novel). She faced repression between 1936–56.

Incidentally Marx Ha Vuelto was reputed to be available on DVD with English subtitles but despite searching and multiple enquiries, I could find nothing. Does anyone here know any different or can help?

The first shot is Ruhr
The first shot is Ruhr peasants picking up firewood in 1842 so it's bound to be good.

More of a miniseries but what about Marx Ha Vuelto (2014) or Karl Marx - Ein Philosoph macht Geschichte (2008) albeit more of a docu drama.

Having read some of Memoirs
Having read some of Memoirs of a Revolutionist, which is a fascinating read, I can imagine a film about Kropotkin's life being worth watching.
