NYC Anarchist Bookfair, May 13 , Judson Memorial Church, New York City

Submitted by mistercaz on April 22, 2017

The NYC Anarchist Book Fair is free to the public. It provides a safe space for activists to meet and organize and where the anarcho-curious can learn about a movement against capitalism and the State that is central to many of the most important political and cultural currents of our time. Besides exhibits by anarchist publishers, artisans, and organizers, the book fair will feature panels and workshops on a wide range of topics, from anarchist history, theory, and politics to economics, culture, social movements, and art.
The 11th Annual NYC Anarchist Book Fair will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 @ Judson Memorial Church, 55 Washington Square South, New York City, followed by a city-wide anarchist meeting on Sunday, May 14th at The Base

There is much to talk about this year and we are committed to making the book fair a place where the community can discover and contribute to anarchist perspectives on the spectrum of issues facing our human community today -- not to exclude art, culture, and the struggle for personal expression.
Presentations, panels, workshops, and skill shares will be held during the book fair.

We rented some large lights that were used for the Arts Festival,(friday night) but they were not used on saturday, bookfair day.
One lamp was moved to the area over below the stained glass windows, which is usually darker than the others.
It may have been slightly more well lit than previously.
The collective is all-volunteer, and we do the best we can.
Most of the feedback we receive in person was positive,
but we thank you.
