Victor Hugo's French Revolution Novel Ninety-Three

So I recently finished reading Hugo's novel about the French Revolution Ninety Three, named after the year 1793. Its an interesting work though very heavy on classical allusions and referencing of French politicians. Its set in the war in the Vendee, between the Republican Blues and the Catholic Royalist Whites. The conflict is very brutal but it maintains Hugo's spark of humanity.

The last section after the fighting is probably the most nuanced and in depth ethical debate about the death penalty and Revolutionary terror I've come across in a novel.

I (hopefully)stripped the DRM from my e-book version, but I had to monkey around to get it to work. So I'd appreciate it if anyone who downloads it could let me know if there are any file errors, especially involving rights access.

Thanks much! I just downloaded the ePub version and it seems fine.

I read Les Miserable in high school, Hugo’s classic about the Revolution of 1832. I literally couldn’t put the book down and savored every page. I imagine this one is just as good.

Yeah I read Les Mis over a month in my breaks at work. My advice to anyone sitting on the fence about reading it is to give the first chapter a try. While Hugo's politics and attitude to religion changed quite abit over the years his writing remained very consistent. The first page is to the same standard as the last page.

Ninety-Three is pretty close to Les Mis, I think the whole story could probably have been inserted into Les Mis's manuscript with very little editing.

I see that all three versions have been downloaded several times and since no ones come out to complain I guess all three versions do work. So I think I'll start spreading these around.

Uploads seem fine. I did a report for Les Mis without appreciating how it's like 1900 pages long... Luckily I had access to an audiobook, and having previously watched a film adapation also helped.
