I have a copy of Everything Must Go!, but I've only just started reading it.

It's under a creative commons license, so if someone can find a pdf or scan their copy, it can be put up on Libcom.

I also attempted to order a copy of From Crisis to Communisation from PM Press over six months ago. It's been available for order on their website for almost a year now without a clear indication that it's not actually been published yet (something I didn't realize when I placed the order). And because of a snafu with their website, they ended up charging me for, then sending me a second book that I didn't want. So they charged me for a book I didn't want and sent it to me, and also charged me for the book I did want, which apparently doesn't exist.

I should add that it's probably worth noting Everything Must Go! is actually comprised of two essays written by Astarian, then a third section which is essentially a brief encyclopedia of concepts relating to communization theory, written by Dauvé.

Had the same problem, except they never sent a 2nd book in it's placement. They just charged me for the book they haven't even published yet. Kinda dodgy actually.

Huh. Had no idea about either of these books.

I suspect a lot of people don't know about Everything Must Go! since they published it through Little Black Cart instead of PM like they tend to do for most of their work in the US. I only saw it because I was directed there when I was trying to find a different book.

New Dauve translation:

The Blast & Meor editions are pleased to announce the translation of the French brochure “Feminism Illustrated“ (44 pages in A5 format).

The first part of the brochure consists of the article “Illustrated Feminism or The Complex of Diana“ published in 1974 in the newspaper « Le Fléau social » (a newspaper from the FHAR, a revolutionary homosexual movement founded in Paris in 1971) ; this article is signed by Constance Chatterley, a pseudonym used on this occasion by Gilles Dauvé. It is followed by a long interview with the author conducted in January 2015. All this is preceded by a presentation of the mag « Le Fléau social » and the FHAR.

This is an opportunity to make a critical assessment of 40 years of evolution of French society and capitalism, and to discuss topics such as feminism, homosexuality, activism, community and identity, sex and gender, domination and exploitation, class struggle, revolution, communism, not forgetting the cinema.

All the texts except the ‘author’s note’ are translated from a French pamphlet published by Blast & Meor in May 2015. We warmly thank the comrades who have translated these texts. The author’s note was added into the English version. All notes are editor’s notes.

PM Press finally published Dauvé's 'From Crisis to Communisation' last week as an e-book only. Here's a link to the relevant page.

I've only read the first few pages, but it doesn't look as if the three (?) years since the book was first announced have been spent proofreading. There are a couple of sentences which look as if the odd word is missing. (There are also one or two odd turns of phrase which probably come from Dauvé himself but which could have been checked with him).

When I have time I'll compare the chapter that's up on Troploin to the version in the book.

Those who prefer to pay for stuff and/or who see PM Press as people who should be supported may be interested in the 50% discount they are offering on everything until the end of the year. (Apparently this is so people can "fight the post election blues". hmmm).

Those who couldn't give a toss about any of that may be interested to hear that 'From Crisis to Communisation' leaked out within a day or so of being released and will doubtless be spreading it's way around the naughty corners of the internet in the usual way.

I'm sure there's a really good nerdy communist joke to be made about Dauve's critique of productivism, time as a measure of labour and value, etc and PM Press taking three damn years to print a book, and it really annoys me that I'm not quite smart or witty enough to be able to think of it. Anyway, if anyone is getting anything in that sale, probably wise to stick strictly to things that are definitely already in print and avoid pre-ordering anything, since you may be waiting a while.

Has the book been released ? I see pm press site that says it will be Published: 01/2019 on amazon uk that it is unavailable and amazon us that it will be published feb.1. with the only preview of the book being the google books linked on pm site

It's only been published as an ebook so far and only seems to be available from the US PM Press site. They don't seem to have either this or the previous Dauvé book they published on the UK site (pmpress.org.uk). The link in my post above (#27) is directly to the US page from which you can purchase the ebook. You get access to PDF, epub and kindle versions. They take paypal as well as credit cards. But you will need to create an account with them. As I mentioned, there is a 50% off sale on their product until the end of the year on the US site. You need to insert the code 'GIFT' during the checkout process.

It may be they still intend to publish a print edition at some point but it doesn't say that clearly anywhere that I can see. Unlike the page I've linked to, the original page for the book on the US site still doesn't have an "add to cart" button on it so you can't buy a print copy yet.

It does have a revised publication date of January next year at the bottom of it. Not confident this is very much more meaningful than previous publication dates, but since I now have the ebook they sold me my interest is waning.

For people who like old-fashioned paper books, the Dauve "Crisis to..." book mentioned above now exists as a proper printed physical commodity, so hopefully those of you who placed orders back when Cameron was PM should have your copies now.
