An anarchist promotes the Green Party

As an anarchist I’m not much of a fan of political parties. But what should an anarchist do if a political party comes along which promotes anarchist values? I’ve waded through almost every one of the Green Party’s hundreds of policies. There are some that I’m pretty indifferent to – like Citizen’s Income, for example – but not a single one that I strongly disagree with. Individual anarchists are not going to change the world for the better, but the Green Party just might.

Yes, and this same person was previously a member of the Labour Party. So not an anarchist. Your point is? Next!

I think they mean you make spicy, snappy comebacks. It's a compliment.

Either that or you're very good at mimicking the vocal styles of a wide range of singers.

The contradiction in the OP is as stupid and/or opportunist as when a certain SPGB member claimed on here a few years ago that it was time to

finally accept the SPGB as the parliamentary political wing of anarchism. - jjohnstone

I posted the link without comment but as information in what is passing for an anarchist these days. I also thought some may have come across the author before.

But apparently, i must have possessed an ulterior motive being a sinister member of the SPGB who talks of common ground and shared ideas with various groups and individuals on this discussion list and have a broad attitude of rapprochement with the Thin Red Line...oh, what a dogmatic sectarian i must be. But yes, i plead guilty of believing we are indeed the parliamentary wing of libertarian communism and holding such a position may appear paradoxical to some here.

If the author chooses to join the SPGB he will require to pass a test and if he still held those opinions on the Green Party, he would not be accepted...if he was a member and expressed those views, he would face expulsion.

If she does that’s yet another reason for me not to. Anyhow, as it stands there’s way more chance of her joining than me.

I don't know how that author passed the test to be an anarchist. Maybe they just wrote Jacques Brel for every question and got in that way.

battlescared, I'm assuming you've heard all the Scott Walker Brel covers, I made a CD of them with the orginials for my mum a few years back, she's a big Scott Walker fan, now a Jacques Brel fan too.

Ariana joining is the only way I might consider joining. She's the revolutionary hero we need but don't deserve.
