General Strike in India

Submitted by Mair Waring on December 8, 2020

Does anyone have any thoughts on this? All I really know is the number 250 million is being thrown around a lot (apparently the biggest strike yet) and that it seems to be led by reformist and Marxist-Leninist unions. Seems like it was just a day long but there are ongoing protests from farmers. :)

I saw that AngryWorkers were recommending this as a detailed write-up, although I don't think either they or I would want to endorse this source more generally: https://www.communist-union.org/en/2020-12/the-modi-government-the-crisis-and-covid-5999
