Swiftly followed by a friend of the working class, Shane Patrick Lysaght MacGowan (25 December 1957 – 30 November 2023).
I remember Shane from that record store he worked in off Oxford Street. The first time I saw him sing was at one of those free concerts organised/funded by the Greater London Council. I have Shane to thank for realising my London Irishness. What a great feeling to be rolling around in the dust with such a manic crew of fans.
