Archive for Wise brothers´ website?

Submitted by loveletters on September 27, 2024

The website of UK pro-situs David and Stuart wise, has gone offline, presumably due to current health problems of David; Stuart died in 2020.

I would like to propose that someone tech-savvy put a version of this site online somehow, as it contained a wealth of valuable archival material from decades of international class struggle and theory.

I have no idea how to do this but if I can help in any way I would be happy to.

Hi loveletters, thanks for raising this.

I am not sure this is a good place to discuss David's health but I can say that I received some emails from him yesterday and he seems very on it :-)

The Revolt Against Plenty site vanished at the end of 2022, for reasons which were not health related. The internet archive "way back machine" has a version saved from December 2022:
https://web.archive.org/web/20221213173308/http://revoltagainstplenty.com/

Since its disappearance I have been adding material from the site to Libcom. DW noticed this and has sent me a series of suggestions of articles to add, which has been a lot of fun.

Some of these (such as the Shulamith Firestone one) have updated comments from 2024. Others (such as the Extinction Rebellion one) never appeared on Revolt Against Plenty and I think were published on Libcom for the first time.

Your best way to find these would be via the following tags:

https://libcom.org/tags/david-wise

https://libcom.org/tags/stuart-wise

Or by doing searches for Revolt Against Plenty, BM Blob etc.

I am happy to continue to do this (at my own pace, lol). And of course others are free to join in, or even use the material on Libcom and the archived site to add to other websites.

It's also worth mentioning that BPC Books have now published four titles by the Wise Brothers:
https://thebarbarismofpureculture.co.uk/wp/new-bpc-title-king-mob-the-negation-and-transcendence-of-art/

I agree that it's important that this material remains available and Libcom, archive.org and the BPC books are a good start...

Bump. It would probably be a good idea to archive all the content on here or on the Internet Archive.
