Systematic dialectic and value form theory give us an angle on the process of subsumption of labour (and social relations and the natural world) under capital, which, we believe, complements TC’s theoretical positions. Value form theory reconstructs the Marxian dialectic of the value form and shows how the production process and social relations are subsumed under, and form-determined by, the value form, i.e. capital. This form-determination by value produces the social form specific to capital, in which social relations are mediated by self-valorizing value.
