FB Heliservices staff at RAF Shawbury had been due out today and tomorrow, but action has been suspended pending further meetings.

They have already been out on the picket lines this month following the collapse of drawn-out pay negotiations.

Amicus union regional officer, Mick Tuff, said action had been suspended pending further talks but things would be made clearer at a later date.

Pilots from the air base who are training the next generation of military helicopter pilots have also decided to strike.

The 45 pilot trainers, members of the British Airline Pilots’ Association (Balpa) and employed by FB Heliservices, could join Amicus union members on strike in the future.
