Workers at Coventry Council will be on strike Monday as part of a continued struggle against wage cuts imposed under the "single status" agreement.
The strike will be started by school admissions staff, with counter/revenue staff and street cleaners planning to join at a later date.
This follows three strikes in May over an agreement which will see some workers such as refuse collectors and grave diggers taking a £3,000 pay cut against salaries of £16-19K/year. According to Coventry's own figures, approximately 1,600 council workers are "losers" under the scheme.
