We are mourning a widespread genocide perpetrated by the Islamic power of capitalism. Tens of thousands of dead, hundreds of thousands of wounded, lines of those sentenced to death, poverty, hunger, and homelessness: this is the daily panorama of our lives. The entire society has been transformed into a cemetery built by capital and the Islamic State.
In this same hell, the navies and weapons of mass destruction of the United States and Israel are being deployed toward the region; under the deceptive guise of a “showdown with the regime,” but in reality, to destroy the lives of millions of human beings. The war being prepared is not our war; it is the war of all states and all capitalist powers against the working class.
The reality is clear:
* The Islamic Republic, the United States, Israel, and all capitalist opposition—including the monarchists—are all our common enemies.
* War or surrender, in any form or combination, translates into the destruction of workers’ lives.
* The Islamic regime, for its own survival, unhesitatingly sacrifices the livelihoods of tens of millions of workers; and its global rivals are poised to make this hell even more complete.
What is our path?
No waiting for saviors,
no illusions in bourgeois democracy,
no servility to parties and coalitions in power.
Our path is the construction of councils.
In workplaces, schools, universities, hospitals, transportation, agribusiness, and neighborhoods, we must unite. Let’s transform meetings into council groups, connect councils, and build a general, anti-capitalist, anti-state council movement. Let’s even transform moments of mourning into a starting point for council organization.
We are mourning, but we are not powerless.
We are the class in whose hands lie the production and survival of all states and all capital. Only by leveraging this organized council force can we transform the war and peace of our cannibalistic enemies into an opportunity for class uprising.
Every moment of delay means a worsening of the catastrophe for our present and our future.
We must take the field with awareness, unity, and determination.
