Workers at three plants of car parts manufacturer Visteon launched the open-ended industrial action on the evening of Monday 22 March.
The sites of Gondecourt in the north, and Carvin and Harnes in the Pas de Calais have all been affected by the action, called by the unions.
"Poverty wages, 5% increase or nothing" : this is the demand.
This strike started when the management of the group last week announced a staff reduction of the order of 50%, between now and 2013. This would mean 250 redundancies out of the 500 employees at the Gondecourt site.
The Visteon workers need maximum support. Messages of solidarity can be sent to [email protected]
