Workers' Scud newsletter (July 1991)

workers-scud-cover.png

This collection of articles was produced as a post hoc analysis of the war and some of its ramifications, 'by a couple of communists who participated in a "united front" of communists, english anarchists, and others to oppose the war in the Gulf.'

Here's another workers' scud launched from England:

Scud Missile, Iration Steppas

A cameraman we met in Tel Aviv in 1992 told us that the scud missile launched by Iraq on Israel during the Gulf War in 1991 contained no warhead, just concrete, hence the limited damage it caused.

Where the hell is Babylon? Simple as, this hell on Earth.

(4) Of course, Marx transcended Left Hegelianism, even if only at a theoretical level. Engels, however, remained in the quagmire of Left Hegelianism for the whole of his life. This paved the way for Kautskyism and its updated version, Leninism.

Footnote from Where the hell is Babylon?, in the above.

Don't know what the hell it means but recorded it as contradiction to the Marx/Engels amalgamation of social-democracy.

(2) Islam claims that Jesus was not crucified but that the Romans mistakenly executed a look-a-like who was a bad man.

Ibid.

The verse from Quran referred to reads as follows:

Translations vary wildly but the essence is that whilst Isa appeared to have been crucified he had in fact not been killed. This does not contradict the synoptic Gospels unless one takes a supernatural interpretation. The Gospels plainly state that he appeared to his family and comrades after his apparent demise and burial. If it was a supernatural event why then would the rock have been moved from his tomb? Ghosts can walk through walls after all!
