A mixed bag 1970s UK anarchist publication
Def a paper reflective of the times and elements
composing the anarchist movement
Agreed. It's interesting to see some of the comments about Zero in Black Flag at the time.
Also worth bearing in mind that "Graham Coates" of Zero Collective was recently revealed as a spycop as by the Undercover Policing Inquiry:
https://www.ucpi.org.uk/cover-names/
Also involved with International Socialists/Socialist Workers Party, Anarchy Collective Libertarian Anarchist Group. Active 1976 - 1979.
Did not know. Though, with a lot of folks supporting, what we called, "action faction" stuff, not surprised if they were infiltrated.
Bumping this because Graham Coates has just given evidence to the Inquiry: http://campaignopposingpolicesurveillance.com/2021/05/08/ucpi-daily-repo...
Would be fascinated if anyone can dig through and find the articles that "GC" apparently wrote for anarchist publishers - it doesn't name the specific publications he wrote for, but from the statement Zero and Anarchy sound most likely, maybe Freedom too?
