Angry Language Brigade on front cover of the EL Gazette

As part of a successful campaign to help a fellow EFL teacher recover thousands in stolen wages, the Angry Language Brigade appears on the front page of this month's English Language Gazette!

In a story we've yet to fully publicise, the Angry Language Brigade and the Industrial Workers of the World scored another big, quick victory against the wage-stealing Speak Up London School of English.

A teacher won thousands in back pay as a result of dodgy bosses and dodgy contracts that denied her proper holiday accrual and forced her to work unpaid as part of a bogus "training scheme".

To secure her rightful wages, the worker joined the IWW and hooked up with the Angry Language Brigade. This culminated in the worker and a dozen of her supporters (including a number of ex-Speak Up London employees) marching into the school and refusing to leave until management accepted her demand letter. An hour-and-a-half later, the bosses sent an email: the worker's demands were to be met in full!

Keep watch on this space as a fuller description of the action and the campaign are on their way!

The Angry Language Brigade knows other ex and current employees of Speak Up have faced underpayment of wages, denial of holiday pay, and bogus "training" and "internship" schemes. So whether you're at Speak Up or any other other dodgy language school, don't hesitate to contact us for the support to fight for what you're rightfully owed!

Nice one! Unfortunate positioning of the main headline and image though.
