Even if your not particularly interested in reading about Marx's life I highly recommend that everyone interested in the history of the Marx/Bakunin split in the 1st International at least read Chapter Thirteen: "The International at Its Zenith", as it provides a very even handed account of the tensions between the anarchists and the Marxists in the International. Indeed, Mehring, despite being a Marxist himself, paints a picture of Marx and his followers in International that is not at all flattering.

Mehring was of course an associate of Rosa Luxemburg and was himself a leading member of the Spartacus League.

Good points Sike;

In fact, Mehring was attacked by Ryazanov for criticizing Marx on that point. Later on Pannekoek in a private letter to Mattick commented on the whole affair: https://libcom.org/history/pannekoek-marx-bakunin

Although, after you're compressed it, you should check to make sure that it's still readable.

I know about compressing images but does that compress the text?

Are there any other PDF tools, preferably offline, which compress the text?
