'Class Power on Zero-Hours' - an AngryWorkersBook

Submitted by AngryWorkersWorld on February 25, 2020

Comrades!

Our book about six years of working class organising in west London will be out shortly!

“‘Class-Power on Zero-Hours’ - AngryWorkers, a small political collective, have spent six years organising in London’s industrial backyard, mainly in the food manufacturing and logistics sector. This book is about their experiences as they try and find new ways of building class power in tough times. It is essential reading for anyone who is grappling with the question: ‘what next for working class politics and revolutionary strategy?’”

You can watch a short video about our local working class initiative here: https://classpower.net/video/
You can pre-order the book here: https://classpower.net/order/

A minor question:
Was it not possible to find any other way of publishing this than through PM press? They're just a commercial publisher pretending to be something radical - they publish Chomsky and even Ocalan, neither of whom have the slightest radical credibility for anybody with a bit of sense. It seems even a publisher that has no pretension to trying to contribute to the class struggle would have been a better choice, as it wouldn't contribute to people having some illusions in PM Press. But maybe nobody else would publish it.

Anyway, looking forward to reading it.

Probably more of a technical detail: we publish the book ourselves, PM does the distribution. In particular organising distribution within the US would have been difficult for us...

PM Press can’t even provide books to the U.S. right now. The link above says to wait till May when AK Press will handle distribution stateside (confirmed by a message from one of the angry workers in West London).
