The anarchist cookbook - Keith McHenry with Chaz Bufe

Book cover

Unlike the original Anarchist Cookbook, which contained instructions for the manufacture of explosives, this 2015 version is both a cookbook in the literal sense and also a “cookbook” of recipes for social and political change.

The 2015 book is divided into three sections: a theoretical section explaining what anarchism is and what it isn’t; information on organizational principles and tactics for social and political change; and finally, numerous tasty vegan recipes from one of the co-founders of the international Food Not Bombs movement.

It actually lost me at "Introduction by Chris Hedges." Maybe they could find someone to endorse it who isn't actually an appalling liberal who hates anarchists.

Sorry, ridiculous seems to be my default setting at times lately. So yeah, hands up, it was a pretty stupid comment.

Agreed. I don't understand why someone who put this garbage out would be solicited to write an introduction for a book on anarchism.

Jesus, what nonsense.

Although I'd expect nothing less from a vegan ;-)

Ya know, one time I saw this Keith McHenry guy speak. It was amazing. He'd list a city where a FNB chapter was formed and then list whatever social movement/uprising occurred in the area. "There was FNB in Seattle then, bam!, Battle of Seattle in 99. FNB in Chiapas then, bam!, Zapatistas. FNB in Berlin then, bam, fall of the Berlin Wall." It was really something special.
