A complete online archive of scanned issues of Anarchy magazine, edited by Colin Ward and published monthly by Freedom Press from March 1961-December 1970. It is particularly known for its stunning covers by anarchist graphic designer Rufus Seger.

After it ceased publication, there was a second series of Anarchy magazine published later on by the Anarchy Collective.
Most of these issues taken from The Sparrows Nest and network23.org.

Back in the day I was
Back in the day I was involved in a collaborative effort involving mostly SF and ACF members producing a freesheet of the same name. I suspect the older members knew that we weren't the first to call a publication 'Anarchy' but it was a nail-biting discussion that settled on this name. It wasn't until years later that I come across the one printed at FP, and wished we had opted on the another name we almost chose 'Strike!' - then I found out there was another publication of the same name. Anyhow, the original was best! Here's the last remnant that I can find of our freesheet:

I think a lot of the people involved in this first incarnation sadly dead (Colin Ward, Rufus Seager etc). However they were part of the Freedom collective so people associated with Freedom may know people who were also involved

Thanks for continuing to put these on line.
I have a number of these back issues. As with "Freedom" newspaper,
"Anarchy" was pretty hit and miss.
That said, some interesting stuff in these issues for everyone.

Its nearly complete, sparrows nest has all the issues, but there are still a couple that aren't publicly accessible yet. Then we can go back and double check the indexes and tags, and hopefully add the articles which were being OCR'd

That's great!, when I stopped the remaining issues on sparrows nest weren't accessible, that was quick. I was also given a supplement to the journal in the form of an inquiry into the police officer mentioned in multiple issues of Anarchy because he was arresting and had tried to frame several members. I think its worth adding but not really sure what would be the best place for it.
